Hi Tola!
Glad to see you on LearnHub and your interest in SMU in Halifax, Canada.
I created a new lesson on the SMU page about the International Admission requirements at SMU. You can follow the link to read more.
A member of the International Admissions team at Saint Mary’s University will be in touch with you shortly to answer all of your additional questions.
Hope this is helpful! Dan

Hey Sashrick,
Thanks for the questions! They are all very good ones.
I would say that the main advantage of the SMU MBA program is their extensive network of international alumni. One of the most important aspects of any MBA program one chooses should be the contacts and networking which you will accomplish at that school for your future career. SMU also has a Career Services department that looks after career placement concerns just for MBA students, you can read their website here to see the services they would offer you
Like you have mentioned before -it’s hard to say if one will be better than another -because it will always depend on your personal situation and preference. Start talking with the admissions staff at SMU and find the answers to all your questions! I know people who attended and had great experiences so I am sure you would have the same.

Hi Miz Octave,
Great questions! SMU’s international student scholarships are available to students from any region – so you would qualify.
In my response above to Tola I included a link to the a lesson here on LearnHub about their international student admissions requirements. Please e-mail international@smu.ca to get the next steps to begin your international student application.

Is there any kind of an admissions interview?
How long does it really take to hear back from them about an application?
What are the chances of a first-year student being able to get a single room because she’s 1. younger than normal, and 2. hearing impaired?
What’s the social/campus atmosphere and spirit really like?
