Saint Mary's University Sustainability Pledge

I came across this sustainability pledge while browsing the academic programs available at Saint Mary's University in Halifax, Canada.

It's really great to see a university actively promoting green initiatives and environmental awareness for all of it's students. I know we are increasingly looking towards the companies we buy from and our employers to be more environmentally responsible so it was nice to see a public educational institution leading the charge as well.

Check it out below!

Saint Mary's University Sustainability Pledge

I pledge to explore and work to understand the social, economic, and environmental impact my choices have on the world; engage myself to rethink, reduce, reuse, and recycle in that order; and to transform myself wherever possible into a more sustainably aware and educated individual. Furthermore, I pledge to use the knowledge and experience I gain at Saint Mary's to improve the sustainability of the communities in which I live, learn, and work.
